The post 'What Book Character Would you most like to Meet?' got me thinking. There were quite a few characters I'd like to meet, and could have written a list of them. But with regard to characters whom I wouldn't like to meet, I had to think a bit harder.
I've just read 'Things Fall Apart' by Chinua Achebe. I was interested in the book from the point of view of the collision of African and European cultures in an small African village. I read the book because I'd come across it on quite a few lists of the 'Best Books Ever'. I'd love to know what other people thought of the book if they had read it cos at the end I was unsure of what I thought. Anyway the character I'd least like to meet was the main character of this book, 'Okonkwo'. I know he lived in a different time, place,culture and had a difficult childhood but I found him aggressive, over-powering, self-righteous, a bully and intolerant.
